LECA concrete precast installation — a Mihata partner project

Photos from the installation of a structure made of LECA concrete precast elements, completed by our authorised partner Mihata. The external and internal load-bearing walls went onto the foundation in installation order, straight from the trailer.

LECA concrete is a lightweight concrete made with fired clay aggregate. An element with the same load-bearing capacity weighs less than one made of normal-weight concrete, which translates into a lower required crane capacity and cheaper transport, while the wall itself has better thermal performance. The installation was carried out in favourable weather, with no interruptions to crane work.
